Three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River after grandpa dies. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life (portrayed by Winona Ryder) soon gets turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega) discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife. When someone says Beetlejuice's name three times, the mischievous afterlife stalker trickster demon (Michael Keaton) gleefully returns to unleash his very own weird, ironic, humorous brand of mayhem. Willem Dafoe portrays Wolf Jackson, a ghost detective. Watch also for some cameo appearances. Catherine O'Hara returns as Delia Deetz, Lydia's stepmother, Astrid's stepgrandmother and Charles Deetz's widow. Jeffrey Jones as Charles Deetz does not return.
